Hi there, I'm Mr. Don.  I am a musician and I love to teach others how to be musicians.  

At age 12 I started my musical journey on the trombone.  In 7th grade I took private lessons and began 

to understand the depths of music theory.  Throughout high school and college I played in numerous 

bands and ensembles such as orchestra, symphonic bands, jazz ensembles, small combos, 

brass quintets, solo and ensemble competitions, and various local bands.  

In 2001 I started studying piano both privately and individually.  

For the past three years at Island Music I have been instructing both brass and piano

with a focus on music theory.
